This is so good!! I regret it's taken me so long to get here!! I have heard so many recommendations for Eatz. I am so glad I finally went with fellow Elite Kellyo yesterday!
Their pho broth is smooth and rich with cinnamon and star anise. As Kellyo noticed, they offer oxtail as an addition to their pho. It must mean the oxtails go into the broth making process, too. I just cannot rave enough about the broth. I liked it so much I almost drank the entire bowl of broth from the combo pho. I am willing to believe that it is low or free of MSG! Their beef slices are also as tender as can be.
I also order cha gio (fried rolls) everywhere I go. Their version is one of the best! Savoury, crispy and free from filler cabbage. Yum! I will be back! -

My husband and I shared the vermicelli bowl- the meat was succulent and flavorful. The portion size was just okay though, wish they had been more generous with their meat. My friend got the pho and said it was the best pho in town- we regretted not trying that and will have to go back for it.
I was however quite disappointed with their Vietnamese coffee. For a whopping $5, it was a small cup with more ice than coffee and it wasn't the traditional drip down with condensed milk. So maybe go elsewhere for real Vietnamese coffee. -

Our New Favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. We have been a long time supporter of VK on the south side. But we have a new favorite after eating at Eatz a few times, late afternoon on Sundays. Street Parking is easy and dinning room has always had a table open. We have tried the entire menu. Every dish was very good, with my favorites being the Head Cheese Bahn Mi and the Combo Pho.
Pros: I recommend Eatz to all. Occasionally chef will have something special which is not on the menu. Large parking lot in back when street parking not available.
Cons: The dinning area is very small with no waiting area. You may expect to wait at peak times. Especially in winter when outdoor dinning is not an option. Chef is exploring options for larger dinning area. -

PHO GET YOUR TROUBLES!
I'm happy I found this little spot on barret street. I find myself going here when the weather is wet and freezing, and you know what? It's the best spot in my opinion to go to in Louisville if you're looking for something to warm your belly! The inside looks like your modern day vietnam decor. The staff there are super friendly and helpful. They'll be happy to describe to you every detail on the menu and give you their recommendation. I've had the Hu Tieu, pho, chicken and spring rolls and they were all fantastic. Honestly, this is one the Vietnamese restaurant here that's close to my grandmas cook. The Hu Tieu broth is amazing. That's forsure my recommendation here. If you get pho, treat yourself with a bone marrow. That tender meat on the bone will fall right off like summer tires on ice. Super pumped to come back. -

Having eaten some of the best pho ever in California it is very hard to settle when it comes to pho.
Vietnamese Eatz is one of the few restaurants in town that has a broth that is delicious enough to come back. Their portions are hefty and the plates are flavor packed. For me,(I have a large family of 6) this is a go to take out place simply because of its small dining area.
The favorites for us here are the special bun, the bento box, and anything with their pork. I am not a fan of all things pork, very selective, but theirs is perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned which makes it a staple.
What makes it better is that the service is always friendly, fast, and the quality is always beyond expectations. Delicious and worth every cent.
Thank you Vietnamese Eatz!
